"A Bedtime Story" by katty b 1998 |
There's a magical place that's far away but also very near. |
There are golden frogs and talking dogs and who knows what else there. |
You could sail a boat across the sea and never find this land, |
but a flying fish could make a wish and help you understand. |
You could ride a horse but of course he won't know where to go |
to find the spot where such a lot of special things can grow. |
You could put on wings and fly up high on a sunny day |
but you won't see all you want to see from so far away. |
You could take a bus and ride for days but never reach the stop |
where unicorns and cats with horns chase a spinning top. |
You could drive a car very fast and miss it on the way |
the special place where fairies dance and elves and goblins play. |
The only way to find this place where anything can be |
is to close your eyes and fall asleep and reach the land of dreams. |
Goodnight!
