"Kat Scratching" Paint Technique The truth is, I'm no painter. Although my works are technically paintings in that... well, they consist of paint on board... they're not really paintings in terms of any traditional painting technique. They're more like drawings filled with paint finishes. My technique is basically: Smear a thick layer of white paint onto a board. Wait until it's dry enough to hold a line, then draw the picture. Wait until fully dry, then colour with layers of bright gouche. Spray to seal gouche, then finish with shellac if required. Add Glow in the Dark to the eyes if required. Stage Two: Prepare & Smear the Base Paint Stage Four: Colour it in Stage Five: Make it Shiny Stage Six: Lights Off |
